受到菲特颱風5日暫停的「海山流行夜」晚會活動，新竹市政府7日下午開緊急會議，決定改期至9月晚間同一時間同一地點舉行，但由於藝人檔期問題，表演的藝人名單則尚未確定。

國慶焰火綻風城系列活動共有3個場次，第1場次已於9月28日於關埔重劃區舉行，第2場次延至9日舉行於海山漁港，而重頭戲的10月10日場次，則將於新竹漁港舉行，如果沒有其他因素再干擾，9、10日連續兩天都有煙火可以欣賞。
